KHALEESI IS COMING TO WESTEROS!

SPOILER ALERT! Hillary Rodham Clinton is going to be the Democratic nominee for President of the United States in 2016.

Democratic voters have selected their champion to face the forces of evil.

Whether we face Donald Joffrey Trump, Ted Ramsay Cruz, John Lannister Kasich, or some other foe who emerges from the ashes of their convention we are lucky to have Hillary Clinton representing the forces of good against the darkness that threatens our nation.

Democrats have chosen a strong, progressive champion of women, children, and working people everywhere.

We will be represented by someone who has endured decades of lies, smears, and attacks and come out stronger every time. We will be represented by someone who is uniquely prepared to wage battle against the Republican nominee and the forces of obstruction once she is sworn in as President.

The Democratic nominee for President has led a life that perfectly suits her to lead our nation forward in the times we face. She has spent her entire life breaking barriers and fighting for progressive change, and she’s poised to shatter the highest, hardest glass ceiling and continue the progress we’ve made under President Obama.

She’s raised a coalition of voters to support her that dwarfs that of any other candidate, Republican or Democrat. The Democratic base is united behind her, people of every race, creed, color and age. Her supporters look like America.

Hillary Rodham Clinton is an unquestionable badass. From her work fighting racial injustice and advocacy for children at the Children’s defense fund, to her unwavering commitment to universal health care and women’s rights around the world, to her tenure as Secretary of State repairing the devastated image of America in a post-Bush world and pushing LGBTQ rights as America’s top diplomat, Hillary was our champion before she ever declared she would run again.

And we’re lucky she did! It takes a special kind of person to put themselves through what Hillary is putting herself through to make America and the world a better place. As Secretary of State, she had sky-high approval ratings. She was one of the most admired women in the world, and a feminist icon that would go down in the history books as a consequential figure in world history if she had simply retired in 2012. As others have taken great glee in pointing out- she also wasn’t going to be hurting for money.

We are amazingly lucky that Hillary did not decide to rest on her laurels and decided to subject herself, once again, to the lies and the smears coming from the left and the right. Why did she do it? She already has power, money, influence, a legacy… there is only one reason that makes sense.

Hillary wants to change the world. She wants to be someone who helps usher in the progressive change she’s always fought for. She knows she will be an icon for women and girls around the world. And she knows that she is the warrior best-suited to defend and expand the legacy of President Obama.

Hillary is brilliant and strong. Her army of supporters is vast and growing. And when she brings her three dragons to bear on the enemy, when President Obama, Senator Warren, and Former President Clinton are out breathing fire on those who would tear her down and drag our country backwards, it will be a sight to behold.

So get ready. We’ve found our champion. Khaleesi is marching on Westeros. No one expected a “coronation” (whatever you might read) and she has fought every step of the way for our support.

It is go time. Time to take on the Republicans. Time to stand of for progressive, Democratic values. Time to stop sniping amongst ourselves and realize that the things that unite us are greater than what divides us.

Time to make history. The people have spoken. We have our champion. Khaleesi is coming to Westeros.
