Clinton Dominant All Over the Country: Today's Primary Polling

There are three new state primary polls out today for the Democratic nomination race from very different areas of the country.

We see a snapshot of the race in Colorado, Florida, and Connecticut today, and the news is uniformly good for Hillary Clinton.

In the order that the contests will happen:

Colorado:

Clinton 55

Sanders 27

O’Malley 2

Colorado goes to the polls on Super Tuesday, March 1st. Colorado is a caucus state, which rewards enthusiasm but also rewards organizing and resources. As a closed registration state, those wishing to caucus must be registered Democrats.

Florida:

Clinton 66

Sanders 22

O'Malley 4

Florida goes to the polls just two weeks after Super Tuesday on March 15, and shares the day with some of the other largest states in the country. Four of the top ten largest states will vote on this mini Super Tuesday (Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, and Illinois) plus Missouri. Hillary has been doing very well in all available polling of these states, so she should be able to build on any momentum she has coming out of Super Tuesday in these contests.

Connecticut:

Clinton 50

Sanders 31

O’Malley 9

Connecticut goes to the polls fairly late in the process, on April 26th. It is kind of another mini Super Tuesday, concentrated in the northeast- Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island all vote this day. Sanders runs stronger here than elsewhere, as does O’Malley. That said, leading by nearly 20 this deep in the calendar in a region where O’Malley and Sanders are certainly familiar faces is a pretty good thing.

If the outcome of the race is still in doubt by this point, expect most of the focus to be on PA on the 26th.

Overall, a good polling day for Clinton in the Mountain West, Florida in the South (which is kind of a beast unto itself), and the North East.
