Hillary Clinton’s campaign is reporting another incredibly strong month in fundraising, bringing in $143 million for her campaign and downballot Democrats.
Hillary actually managed to raise MORE for the DNC and state parties than she did for her own campaign because of the Hillary Victory Fund and the larger donation limits to these entities.
xIn August, Hillary Clinton raised $62 million for her campaign, $81 million for DNC & state parties. Campaign starts Sept with $68m on hand.

— Jennifer Epstein (@jeneps) September 1, 2016The money that goes to the DNC and state parties can be used to fund field operations for state candidates freeing up the candidates to budget more to their communication and other outreach. What’s more, state parties are able to coordinate with the Presidential campaign in their states, meaning Democrats will be able to fund a field program for everyone from Hillary down to state legislatures all through a one-stop shop for volunteers and organizers.
This kind of coordination is key, particularly in a year like 2016. Why? Because every single competitive Senate race is now in a battleground state- including the ones in Arizona and Missouri that seemed out of reach before Trump happened.
When the field operations that the Presidential campaign puts into these crucial states is combined with the state party field operation funded in large part through the HFA funds raised we’re going to see massive operations on behalf of all our candidates while the candidate campaigns themselves are able to be on the air and in the mail more often.
YUUUGE month for Democrats.
